The Lost Buoy Grenache Rose, harvested from four rows of the estate, is one of those wines. Refreshing, crisp and as delicate in colour as the pink evening skies over McLaren Vale’s Gulf St Vincent .
Colour: Light Salmon
Bouquet: Strawberries and pears.
Palate: Refreshing, bright, red cherries and crisp finish
Cellaring: Will reward careful cellaring for up to 3 years but will probably only last til Tuesday at my place.Awards / Accolades

Sourced from a grower that sits on the edge of Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale nestled in the Kuipto Forrest area. The area is known for producing quality whites due to the cold crisp nights and sea breezes. We chose this sight not only for its great wines and established beautiful vines but the area is exposed to seabreezes which fits into our philosophy and ethos of wines by the sea.
Colour: Pale yellow / green with a silver glow.
Bouquet: Tropical fruits of dew melon and freshly cut grass in summer after rain.
Palate: Melon, Cut Grass
Cellaring: Drink young and enjoy the freshness

One Hectare of prized fruit sourced from Ross McMurtrie on McMurtrie Rd McLaren Vale, the foot of The Range which provides a nice area for warm summer days and cool nights from the sea air, a true example of a Mediterranean Climate which this Italian varietal loves so much. Phil was clever enough to find this special parcel of fruit, that we then turned into a small batch of Sangiovese. Fermented in a one tonne open tank, basket pressed and aged in seasoned American hogsheads for 16months. Why?? To provide you with a little bit of Italy from our own backyard.

Grenache 12 Pack
2020
Hidden from history and unable to share its story, Grenache, like the brig IDA wrecked on Port Willunga beach in 1857 was forgotten, hidden in blends or fortified.
Today like the remains of IDA revealed by the waves that crash onto shore, McLaren Vale Grenache is being rediscovered for its fragrance, character and unique reflection of local terroir. A once off for the Lost Buoy portfolio, Forgotten IDA Grenache is light crimson in colour, generous raspberry and rhubarb tart bouquet with subtle fruit sweetness and creamy but textured palate.
This wine is really something exciting to showcase the potential of McLaren Vale Grenache.

Lion Point Shiraz
2017
Currently SOLD OUT – Awaiting Next Vintage
The block that is closest to the cliff and sea these vines take a beating. High vines, tough soils and salt in the air, making this Shiraz one of a kind. The characteristics of this wine are so true to the location. The wine shows beautiful and elegant mineral characteristic. The Shiraz sits on approximately 7 acres, being the bigger of the two estate vineyards, but certainly has the smaller yield due to the environmental exposure.
Colour: Opaque Purple
Bouquet: The bouquet is sweet fruit nose of bright red berries with hints of dark chocolate and marzipan Allow 2-5 mins to fully open up.
Palate: Great concentration of fruit, seamless with beautifully integrated tannins.
